The Glen Grant, Devotion

Three chapters. One reveal. Seventy years in the making. To launch The Glen Grant Devotion 70-Year-Old, we created an experience that revealed the story behind the whisky before revealing the whisky itself.

Chapter one: the whisky

Guests stepped inside a wood and copper cask, discovering its defining notes through scent and taste. Floral. Barley sugar. Dried fruit. Honey. Each one paired with a canapé designed to bring the flavour to life.

Chapter two: the craft.

Raw elm, glass prototypes, specialist tools and unfinished materials exposed the making of the sculptural decanter, with master craftsmen John Galvin and Brodie Nairn sharing the process behind it.

Chapter three: devotion.

Seven suspended floral stories traced moments across Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign, from her wedding to her coronation, transforming the final journey into a living timeline. Only then came the reveal...

Guests entered a meadow held in atmospheric shadow as words on devotion from the late Queen played through the space. At its centre stood Devotion, before Master Distiller Dennis Malcolm OBE brought the story back to where it began: seventy years of patience, craft and dedication.

The whisky came last. Everything before it made the reveal resonate.
